Who could have guessed Xiaomi’s SUV would be called the Xiaomi YU7?

Just now, at the opening of the new “Ministry of Industry and Information Technology Auto Show,” the most significant model was undoubtedly the “Ferrarimi” –

Indeed, the previously leaked concept images were largely accurate. The Xiaomi YU7’s proportions are similar to the Ferrari Purosangue, featuring an elongated hood and low body profile.

The dimensions provided by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology confirm this: the Xiaomi YU7 measures 4,999mm in length, 1,996mm in width, and only 1,600mm in height, with a wheelbase reaching 3 meters.

In terms of power, the YU7 is equipped with a dual-motor system, featuring a 220kW front motor and a 288kW rear motor, with a total power output of 508kW (approximately 681 horsepower). While the 0-100 km/h acceleration time hasn’t been disclosed, the maximum speed is 253km/h.

Although the Ministry hasn’t revealed the interior, we can outline its general appearance using known information.

In April last year, Xiaomi Auto Technology Co., Ltd. was granted a “vehicle” patent. The patent description noted that most vehicles currently have instrument panels in front of the steering wheel, requiring drivers to look down to check vehicle information, which is unfavorable for driving safety. This patent places the display device between the console and the windshield, making it easier for drivers to check vehicle information and improving driving safety.

At the time, some netizens suggested this design might be implemented in Xiaomi’s SUV, and based on recently leaked interior spy photos, this prediction seems to be coming true.

Recently, a clear spy photo showed the YU7’s through-screen display. This screen is slim and similar to the Avatr 12’s distant display screen but noticeably narrower. It’s expected to only show key driving information, with the main multimedia and vehicle control interactions handled by the large central control screen below.

The secondary dashboard below the central screen has also been photographed, featuring (from top to bottom) a wireless charging pad, cup holders, and an armrest box, somewhat reminiscent of the Li Auto L6.

Additionally, based on leaked sample material comparison images, the YU7’s interior will be available in at least two color schemes: Bone Spiral Purple and Red Tangerine. Let’s look at the rendering artist’s interpretation.

Moving to the rear, despite its sporty design, the YU7’s back seat space is considerably larger than the SU7’s, with a more reclined backrest angle. It’s expected to support backrest angle adjustment.

After the Ministry’s announcement, Xiaomi Auto officially added one more piece of information:

The Xiaomi YU7 will officially launch in June-July next year.
